PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BINDON LANE, WOOL, 12th September 2022

Dorset Council have received an application from Openreach to close BINDON LANE, WOOL from the junction with Highwood to
outside Inglewood Farm (in both directions), a distance of approximately 480 metres. The closure has been
requested to provide Openreach with a safe working area to undertake pole tests. These works are programmed to
commence from 09:30, 12th September 2022 until 15:30, 12th September 2022.

Openreach will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in
this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly
affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The
following map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
This document is for information only, however if you have any concerns about this proposal, please contact Tom
Faulkner, (trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk) by 22nd August 2022

Road closures for Camp Bestival

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
VARIOUS ROADS, PURBECK AREA
CAMP BESTIVAL 2022

Camp Bestival, the family friendly music event, is programmed to take place in the grounds of Lulworth Castle between Thursday 28th July and Monday 1st  August 2022.  I have prepared two Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders to coordinate traffic and pedestrian management arrangements for the forthcoming event.  These applications have been formulated, discussed and agreed at Safety Advisory Group forums by representatives from the Camp Bestival event, the emergency services, Dorset Council Highways Department and local Parish Councils.  The first Order will install a safe traffic management plan for ingress and egress and will minimise the disruption caused by the event on the highway network.  The second Order will temporarily close footpaths through the event site, for safety and security reasons.  Copies of Public Notices for each Order are attached to this message. Please note that a residents information page has been established on the Camp Bestival http://www.campbestival.net/info/residents-information/  This page will be constantly updated.
